“He looked at his own Soul
with a Telescope. What seemed
all irregular, he saw and
shewed to be beautiful
Constellations: and he added
to the Consciousness hidden
worlds within worlds” – Coleridge, notebooks
A 16mm film made in collaboration with Rosalind Fowler and the Wenlock Barn Estate.
This piece of work was developed as part of project ‘Permissible Notations of’. A process of exploring The Estate as a shared collection pot of cultural inheritance.
The film shows a culmination of public gestures as a series of mythological and cultural acts, performed by residents in front of a sculptural roaming backdrop.
This film is part of exhibition ‘BREADROCK’ at PEER 2018.
